Please explore the images below to see a wide variety of student work. Each piece below was created in either my Beginning Handbuilding class or intro to wheel throwing (Wheel as Tool course).
In the Spring of 2014 I taught a kiln building class. We built several experimental kilns, a raku kiln and cone 10 soda kiln. The class was a challenge as I had never taught a class like this before. By the end of class we had constructed a fully functional soda kiln and had a great time learning about kiln theories, making work together and building kilns. There are some images from the class below.
This semester I am teaching a glaze chemistry class and I can't wait to see their results. Check back for some melted goodness.
